Junior RNCM
“Before They Become Famous XVIII”
Another visit by students from the Junior Royal Northern College of Music. See their previous concert in March 2024 for an idea of the sort of entertainment they provide. This season’s students will be different, but the performances promise to be just as exciting.

Brief Report “on the night”
Another splendid concert attended by around 40 people. The highlights (for me personally) were:
- Millie Huang’s opening the concert with Alvars 3 very different movements + her charming Mathias’s “Sun Dance“.
- Kent Kennan’s lively rendering of Bernstein’s “Rondo for Lifey“.
- Madeleine North’s enchanting Thiman’s “I wandered lonely as a cloud“.
- James Uttley’s exciting Beethoven Sonata + his magnificent rendering of the Kreisler piece, especially the amazing climax.
